Our community is filled with people who answer the phone, make introductions, share lived experience, welcome someone at an event, and stay connected after the first conversation ends.
Clinical expertise, patient experience, research knowledge, community insight, and advocacy belong in the same room. Our advisors help us stay grounded, useful, and focused on what patients and families actually need.
Say YES to Hope grew from lived metastatic cancer experience — the questions that come when treatment choices are complicated, the determination to keep looking for options, and the extraordinary people who appear along the way.
The organization carries Suzanne Lindley’s experience as a Stage IV colorectal cancer survivor, but it was never meant to be about one survivor. It became a way to make sure the next person did not have to begin from zero.
What started as a search for answers became a commitment to help other people find theirs.
Jean DiCarlo Wagner helped plant an early seed of possibility. Over time, survivors, families, clinicians, volunteers, and friends added their own knowledge and heart. Say YES to Hope became something larger: a community built to share what we learn and carry hope forward.

The bumblebee became a reminder of the seemingly impossible — a tiny symbol that possibility can exist even when the odds or assumptions say otherwise. The bee belongs here because hope needs motion.
“Hope” written in the sand became more than an image. It reflects something temporary and enduring at the same time: a word that may need to be rewritten again and again, but remains worth writing.
